For example, our Ground Position Light Signal was specifically designed to meet the reliability needs of the UK Rail Network and was so successful that a national fitment campaign of over 15,000 units was implemented.

Classic Colour Light Signal

LED Colour Light Signals are used for controlling the running movements of trains on main railway routes.

Position Light Signal

The Position Light Signal is used as a Ground Position Light Signal, Limit of Shunt Signal or a Subsidiary Signal.

Miniature Tunnel Signal

Controls the movement of trains inside a tunnel as a Colour Light Signal controls mainline movement.

Miniature Tunnel Signal with Proceed on Sight Authority Aspect

Shows a restrictive or black aspect at a speed slow enough that drivers have the ability to stop short of any obstruction.

Banner Repeater

Provides an early warning to the driver of whether the next signal ahead is displaying an ON or OFF aspect.

Universal Semaphore Lamp

A LED replacement light source designed to replace existing paraffin powered lamps. 

Semaphore Spectacle Filters

Designed for use with LED Universal Semaphore Lamp Units, these are a direct replacement for existing filters.

Semaphore Battery Box

A rugged enclosure built from cast aluminium, which can be quickly and easily attached to any post.

Standard Shunt

Designed to be used in place of the VSDAC Standard Shunt, used on VHLC and VSDAC modules.

Classic Colour Light Signal

LED Colour Light Signals are used for controlling the running movements of trains on main railway routes. The signal can display Red, Yellow, Double Yellow and Green aspects and incorporates an LED array to facilitate close up viewing. Fully approved by Network Rail, the signals are a cost effective, direct replacement unit suitable for any installation with no requirement for on site design changes.

Our Colour Light Signals are available in both long (Cat 1) and medium range (Cat 2/Cat 4 variants).

Position Light Signal

The Position Light Signal is used as a Ground Position Light Signal, Limit of Shunt Signal or a Subsidiary Signal. The signal provides an indication to train drivers through the position and illumination of Red, White or Yellow LED Signal Lamp Modules.

Miniature Tunnel Signal

The LED Miniature Tunnel Signal controls the movement of trains inside a tunnel in the same way a Colour Light Signal controls mainline movement.

The signal is significantly smaller in size in order to provide adequate clearance between the signal and passing trains in a restricted space environment.

  • Available in 1, 2, 3 and 4 aspect configurations
  • Readability up to 400m

Miniature Tunnel Signal with Proceed on Sight Authority Aspect

The Miniature Tunnel Signal with PoSA Aspect  can be set to allow drivers to pass a signal showing a restrictive or black aspect at a speed slow enough so that they have the ability to stop short of any obstruction.

Banner Repeater

The Banner Repeater Signal is used as an advance indication, providing early warning information to the driver of whether the next signal ahead is displaying an ON or OFF aspect using a disk of white LEDs against a black background, creating the image of either a horizontal or diagonal black bar.

The addition of a green OFF aspect gives drivers advance warning that the Colour Light Signal controlling the section ahead is showing a green aspect.

Universal Semaphore Lamp

The Universal Semaphore Lamp is a LED replacement light source designed to replace existing paraffin powered lamps. The lamps are  available in High and Low Intensity versions to suit most applications, whether elevated semaphore arm signals or ground disc type signals.

  • Fully Network Rail approved solutions that can be applied to most Semaphore Signals
  • Replacing paraffin burning lamps eradicates the need to store and transport hazardous substances and reduces the signal’s carbon footprint
  • Available in 6Vdc or 12Vdc where externally supplied
  • Internal battery powered version available for ground signals
  • Electrical and optical lamp proving facilities as standard
  • Red light version available for Buffer Stop, Swing Bridge and Gate lamp applications

Semaphore Spectacle Filters

Designed for use with Unipart Dorman LED Universal Semaphore Lamp Units, the semaphore filters are a direct replacement for existing filters.

Eliminating the need for design changes, these impact resistant polycarbonate filters provide true signal colours.

  • Available in 11 standard BR shapes and colours
  • Bespoke design and manufacturing service also available for one off applications
  • Peerless Hard Coat applied to both sides as standard for long life durability

Semaphore Battery Box

The Semaphore Battery Box is a rugged enclosure built from cast aluminium, which can be quickly and easily attached to any post. The box can also be mounted directly to walls and bulkheads.

The box is designed to house sufficient batteries to power two LED Universal Semaphore Lamp units for up to 3 months without the need for maintenance when using Unipart Dorman DAAB50 Air Alkaline Batteries. This combination removes the need for paraffin lit lamps in remote areas, reducing the environmental impact and risk to workers involved in replenishment and maintenance.

  • Connection made using standard 2BA Terminal Bar
  • Enclosure secured using a standard RKB221 padlock
  • Cable entry using M25 Glands

Standard Shunt

The Unipart Dorman Shunt is designed to be used in place of the VSDAC Standard Shunt, used on VHLC and VSDAC modules. It works by reducing any induced voltages created on long cable runs.

These induced voltages are detected by the Vital Logic Controller (VLC) on the VHLC and ElectrologIXS interlocking systems and will de-energise the signal.

  • Compact design with quick install and release DIN Rail Mounting

  • Colour coded quick release connectors using cage clamp terminations
  • Effective on cable lengths up to 1600 Metres
